Physical
How your 3-year-old continues to develop small & large muscles, fine-motor skills and balance
The development of small and large muscles is important during these early years of life. Our indoor and outdoor classrooms offers plenty of comfortable space for kids to practice these evolving motor skills and sense of balance in a safe and secure environment.
Sample Activity: Music and Movement – singing and dancing, movement scarves parachute play, instruments, yoga and more.
Creative Arts
How your 4-year-old explores colors, texture and strengthens fine motor skills
Brain research reveals that visual and creative arts stimulate imagination, promote intellectual development and help build fine and gross motor skills.
Sample Activity: Paper Plate Art lets the preschoolers stretch their imagination and expand their skills in cutting, gluing (fine motor)
Social-Emotional
How your 4-year-old continues to develop self-awareness, interact with others, understand and regulate their emotions
Recent brain research reveals that emotional and cognitive development are closely connected. Providing responsive educational environment to preschoolers not only helps them begin to regulate their emotions and gain a sense of safety and predictability in their social environments, but also strongly supports attention and learning.
Mathematics
Early experience in math promotes critical reasoning and help develop problem solving skills
Research on early learning demonstrates that introduction of math in early childhood vastly improves the child’s ability to understand and apply logical reasoning, increase imagination, develop abilities to breaking down complex problems and inventiveness
Sample Activity: Sorting and Graphing (with Jellybeans!) introduces the fun concept counting, sorting color groups and graphing the outcome to the preschoolers
Cognitive
How your 4-year-old learns to think, imagine and solve problems
Nurturing and responsive care giving is the key to healthy brain development of your child. Early experiences shape how her brain develops - therefore, supporting a child’s cognitive development with consistent, nurturing experiences and interactions is critical for brain growth.
Sample Activity: Pre-Math and Memory building: Hiding and finding classroom objects and counting the items we find and then sorting them by size, shape and color.
Science & Engineering
The preschoolers are born curious and natural scientists. They are full of questions about world around them and they strive to discover how things work
Sample Activity: The Slime Experiment lets the preschoolers to play and learn with school made safe slime. This also gives them the sensory experience, helps motor skills and gently introduces them to Non-Newtonian fluids
Language & Literacy
How your 4-year-old continues to learn to communicate and understand
Research indicates a back-and-forth exchange of words, sounds, and expressions between caregiver and child is an active ingredient to brain development. Throughout all hours of the school, our teachers practice responsive interaction with the preschoolers.
Sample Activity: Interactive reading experiences with books that are multisensory. Our preschoolers explore their books – through sight, sound and touch.
